GOLD PLATED BANANA II

The Godoy machines Banana II is a very unique machine. From every internal feature to each and every external characteristic. The way this machines runs is specific to it's design. Not just the frame / sub frame specifications but the internal workings of wire turns, gauges, capacitor, coil core material and more...

When taking a run of these frames and sub frames to our finisher, we originally wanted a brass finish. Due to the darkness of the steel frame parts, the finisher recommended a gold plating. This is real gold. It turned out way better than we could ever have expected. The already beautiful lines of this machine look thousands of times more impressive in the highly polished gold plating.

We only had 8 made and are selling this limited run machine for $600.00 each.

2 NEW SIGNATURE MODEL MACHINES BY GODOY MACHINES

The Javier Campos tattoo machine is available now.

This Peruvian artist is known for his incredible realistic color portraits as well as his black n grey work. To do this type of work, not only do you need artistic skill, an excellent machine helps too. This is a steel base with a small stainless upright support. No waste of space, all components fir perfectly into the housing frame base. These run so smoooth, so precise solid and are very sensitive. It comes loaded with our Godoy Machines round coil.

We have also just released the Scrappy Uno model machine. Mexico's finest portrait artist. His portraits have won him award after award. On an international level Scrappy is at the top. This machine is loaded with our Godoy Square coils model II, a sensitive and highly reactive coil mounted on our new screw tight tube vice steel base. Another priceless piece of machinery.

Scrappy Uno - world class tattoo artist from Mexico City uses Godoy Machines

Scrappy consistently wins competitions. Plain and simple... the guy is a world class tattooist from Mexico City. He specializes in portraits and realism... black n grey. His work can be used as a standard to compare wether or not some one's work is up to par. Really... black and grey uses techniques that artists who only do color and bold lines would not understand. It's safe to say that if you understand these techniques, all the rest will be easy.

We get lots of people who come into the shop who have been tattooed in Mexico.. usually at a resort town.. and they always laugh and say "I know it sucks, I got it in Mexico." The thing is, just as in the United States or Canada.. hell, the whole world for that matter, there are shitty artists and great artists. You just have to find them. If you plan to bring home a souvenir tattoo, why not bring in a good one?

V2 MACHINE...

In the above photo, is our successful V2 machine. The slanted square coil assembly was designed and prototyped in 1999 and the patent was granted in our "square electromagnetic coil assembly" in 2003. The frame was designed to accommodate the V2 Coils assembly, to comfortably move the spring (gauge) armature bar assembly with the speed and force necessary to apply smooth shades, solid lines with any size grouping, fine and single needle lines as well as large magnums... truly a versatile all in one machine. The futuristic aesthetics are included!!! The early stages of the design were the most interesting. Cutting balsa, sanding, doing math to figure out how much each casted metal frame would weigh in relation to the mass of the balsa. On the first runs of this frame, we did a CNC frame machined out of billet aluminum - the cost was approximately $320 each. We also casted brass and aluminum. Brass was unreal, there was a run of maybe 20 brass. The aluminum became our choice for the V2, weighing in at just over 4 oz. Most of the weight was found in the coil assembly. SEMINARS ON THE ELECTROMAGNETIC TATTOO MACHINE. REQUIREMENTS: - MINIMUM 15 PEOPLE PER SEMINAR, PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS ONLY - ARTISTS WHO WORK IN STUDIOS. The Godoy Machines tattoo machine seminar provides a complete dissection of the electromagnetic tattoo machine. Detailed descriptions of the scope of the electromagnetic tattoo machine. Including material, properties and function, manufacturing, assembly, insulation, magnetic field, capacitors, capacitance, polarity, wire - gauges, layers turns...everything a professional tattoo artist needs to know - including the tattoo machine's function as applied to technique. This is a 6 - 9 hour class, depending on the number of participants. Sometimes the class can be divided over 2 days. This is the most thorough and complete seminar offered anywhere. We charge 300 dollars or Euros per person. This covers our cost to travel and accommodation - wether we travel to Europe or any other continent. This 300 dollar (or Euro) cost pays for material and tools which the class will use to repair their machines - taps, dyes, hole punches, Dremmel, files, heat shrink, capacitor(s), screws, binding posts, contact screws etc. This price also pays the shipping costs to send the tools and materials. The 300 dollar (or Euro) charge also absorbs the cost of paying the organizer a percentage to help with the expense of the rented hall. We cannot offer "FREE" seminars due to these costs. FREE seminars at any convention or events will not be considered.
